Ear electronics:  the name comes from Esoteric Audio Research, which was a name my friend Rusty Swift and I came up with a few years before I opened the business. We were toying around with different names an audio business could have and this was my favorite, one of the other names was ROA electronics, which stood for Rock Of Ages.  Ear electronics, the brainchild of Jon Mayberry was started after I moved here to Kingman in 1988.  I moved here to manage storage units my friends from phoenix owned.  Shortly after moving here I met a young man and we got to talking about stereo and I showed him my boom box in my van, he was so impressed he asked me to build him a box for his car, so I did, and to keep a long story short that was the beginning the word got around and I was building boxes for a lot of Kingman’s youth.  About 1 year after I moved here the job I came up for had let me go and I had no idea what I was going to do for work also live since I was a live on property manager.  At this time I found a storefront just east of Bank Street on Northern Avenue for rent, and rented it and moved in.  I had some cards printed and told all my customers that I was going to open a store.  That was just over 10 years ago and here I am, with the help of some good friends and a good business plan ear has grown every year to what we are today.  I hope to continue Ear Electronics and provide quality products and service to Kingman and its surrounding areas for many years to come.  I would like to thank all the people who helped and stood by me through the hard times.  Mervin Fried, Clint Nail, Bill Frank, Bill Curtis, Arron Smith and the Smith Family ,  and many more devoted customers and friends.  Thank You.
